What are they thinking...?

This photo was taken a few months ago at a fiesta in Galera - what are they thinking?

Three old pals watching the world go by...there were a lot of expats at the fiesta, maybe this is who they are contemplating or perhaps they are simply sussing out the whole affair in general? Probably a bit of both. We like this picture as it captures a typical moment in a rural Andalucian village.

Love the photo CR - we see these chaps every day in Galera and they just sit and watch the world go by! If you're not used to the Spanish people and their natural curiosity about every thing around them, you might feel intimidated by their stares - we just give them an 'hola' and it seems to break the spell and they always respond with a friendly 'hola' back!

We have a bunch of guys that seem to meet up late afternoon when the weather is cooler. They stand on top of the hill and watch the world go by. I have been told they have been given the nickname 'el parlamento' - 'the parliament' by all the spanish!!!

All around the Med, you'll find this kind of gatherings. Do they know something we don't?

Sue: an "Hola" always works even with the old school locals - its appreciation and you are sure to get one from them first the next time round

Kate: Maybe what they say goes on the top of that hill! Nice way to spend your retirement with the lads watching the world go by...

Cream: Maybe they do know something we dont.. when I am 70 I would love to be as relaxed as some of these old fellers - sometimes the smiles give away how much they enjoy life life - Great!
