Walking around with a digital camera... its almost like leaving home without the mobile sometimes. There are many opportunities to get decent photos so we tend to take the camera with us whenever we can. Now that CR junior is back at school - and for afternoons Mondays and Tuesdays my other half takes time out with a neighbour to go "photo spotting" The pics below have been taken on a walk around the village of Galera.
Postcard stuff? Most villages tend have the caves and town houses painted white, in the campo its more rustic, however there is no getting away from the fact that these white washed cave villages look spectacular in the mid-day sun and also at night...I prefer the campo but remember staying in a cave village and loved it, the view early evening over the village was superb. Each to their own.
Rustic stuff... Items like this are having a revival, once discarded as rubbish that no longer appeals both locals and expats are on the look-out for such antique machines. Similar to caves the value is rising, they look fantastic in any garden, spit and polish and some varnish...
...and a cave home, deceivingly narrow at the front but on two stories it could be like the Tardis inside...
Rural Granada is a photographers dream, constantly changing weather, spectacular, wild, beautiful... Dont forget the camera.

Great photos.........I love the first one (you're right definite postcard stuff)
I agree - great photos. Makes me wish I was there all the more!
I came back home last friday after a great couple of weeks.
The more I go over the more I want to chuck the lot up here and become like one of those men on that bench below...
Kate: amazing what you can capture through a lense on your travels...
Sal: When you over next Sal? bring the woolly jumper!
Cream: I understand my friend but what about back in good old NE of England? Can you not do both...?
I am slowly but surely working on it.
