One good thing about running a business from home is that you can smoke the odd ciggie in front of the computer at work...(soz UK just had to get that one in:-)The other good part is the lunch break, normaly long ones with time to light the BBQ, what time is the Spanish BBQ? anytime! The best time by far is at night around 9pm, a few hours later the stars are out and flame is still going - lovely atmosphere on the patio. Try an outstanding BBQ recipe HERE
Tomatoed out: this year we planted a copious amount of tomatoes around the patio - every raised bed and most pots, plums and cherries. Thing about tomatoes is you can eat them freshly picked - great with some good olive oil and a pinch of salt or stuff them to the hilt in a jar with red peppers - great for later or salsa recipes.
Patio recipes, as with any recipes are so versitile, this time we tried chorizo picante (HOT!!!) with cool melon - works very well, similar to sweet and sour with a different twist, almonds go well with this too but keep a cool beer in hand just in case...
Hot pots and stews in the winter, great summer food in the summer!

DC: Its damn tasty!!!!!!!!!!!
Kate: Orce fish shop has been selling if for a few weeks - just tell him how thick and he cuts it in front of you. Go early though, its quite popular.
Thanks CR - Tuna is my favourite fish. You havent seen scallops on your travels have you?? I LOVE them but just cant seem to find them here.
Tried something similar from Mercadonna (but nowhere near as nice), did see some in Huescars coviran over Christmas but never bought them.
Would love to find an place that sells them locally......
Kate: the shop in Orce has different scallops in but they vary in selection, best day of the week to go is Tuesday when Orce market is on - the spread is much bigger compared to Fridays. He aslo delivers but you guys might be a bit far? Definatly worth a look if your over this way
Glorious food!
Great to see thick tuna steaks!
In most Spanish restaurants, tuna is sliced so thinly it is always served overcooked. We serve it with a spicy tomato sauce with cumin and coriander!
Cream: Agreed! its a fantastic dish, will try the cumin and coriander too. We never had fresh tuna in the UK, here we get the fish guy to cut good inch thick steaks...cracking meal.
